SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,537 lbs at 187.21, heifers 1,351 lbs at 187.22. Dressed
delivered steers 987 lbs at 295.92, heifers 868 lbs at 295.93. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 308.43, up
8.34 and Select 289.20, up 4.27.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week: Early
weaned pigs are steady to firm and feeder pigs are 1.00 lower. Demand
steady for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 43.48; 40
lbs cash basis 57.60.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not available.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 66.85, 450-499 lbs 73.17, and 500-549
lbs 74.57.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn was 7 to 8 cents lower; elevator bids 4.13-
4.78, processor bids 4.58. New crop soybeans bids were 9 cents lower;
elevator bids 9.46-9.76, processor bid 10.16 and export 10.31. Wheat bids
were 8 to 14 cents lower; elevator bids 5.25.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.18
lower at 66.53.
